LUCHA’s “Get Out The Vote” Final Push to Mobilize Latinx Voters in Arizona

**Opportunities available to shadow canvassers and/or attend events every day until Election Day **

PHOENIX — In the final days before Election Day, Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) announces its Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts to reach Latinx voters in the state to elect U.S. Presidential candidate Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris, U.S. Senator candidate Mark Kelly, Maricopa County Attorney candidate Julie Gunnigle, Pima County Recorder candidate Gabriella Cazares-Kelly, among many others progressive candidates down-ballot.

This cycle, LUCHA will have pushed 1 million voters to the polls in Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, and Coconino counties through a combination of safe door knocking, digital, radio, print, and television ads. LUCHA’s voter contact work focused on educating voters about LUCHA-endorsed candidates and listening to actual voters about the issues impacting them the most. LUCHA knows that Arizona voters will help tip the national scales and serve as the bellwether for future elections across the Southwest.

Friday, October 30th

3:00pm — 8:00pm: Door-to-door canvassing in Maricopa, Pima and Coconino Counties

3:00pm — 4:00pm: Neighborhood outreach to promote Saturday’s street parade (Location: 3420 W Roosevelt St, Phoenix, AZ 85009)

Saturday, October 31st

10:30am — 1:00pm: Luchando, Votando Y Bailado Street Parade to get out the vote in Latinx neighborhood. (Location: Falcon Park- 3420 W Roosevelt St, Phoenix, AZ 85009)

3:00pm — 8:00pm: Door-to-door canvassing in in Maricopa, Pima and Coconino Counties

Sunday, November 1st & Monday, November 2nd

10:00am — 8:00pm: Door-to-door canvassing across the state in Maricopa, Pima and Coconino Counties

Tuesday, November 3rd

7:00am — 9:30am: “Lit Drop” — teams will be dropping polling location information in Glendale/West Phoenix, South Phoenix, Central Phoenix, Downtown Flagstaff, Downtown and South Tucson

11:00am — 2:00pm: Door-to-door canvassing in Maricopa, Pima and Coconino Counties

12:30pm — 1:00pm: LUCHA’s 2nd FB Livestream from the field with voters from polling locations

3:00pm — 6:45pm: Door-to-door canvassing in Maricopa, Pima and Coconino Counties

6:00pm — 6:30pm: LUCHA’s 3rd FB Livestream with Co-Executive Directors and Field Director to report back from the field and do a final push before the polls close at 7 p.m.

7:45pm — 8:30pm: LUCHA’s Final FB Livestream to watch and react to the first results along with LUCHA leaders from across the state. (There will be opportunity for reporters to join the LUCHA zoom meeting for behind the scenes reactions)

NOTE: LUCHA’s Co-Executive Directors Alejandra Gomez & Tomas Robles, Jr., will be staged all day at LUCHA Phoenix office and there is an opportunity for reporters to join them throughout the day.
